An Overview
This project envisions a star hotel integrated within a vibrant mixed-use development, combining hospitality, retail, workspaces, and entertainment into a single cohesive environment.
Designed for a dynamic urban context, the project responds to both commercial and experiential needs—creating a destination that is active throughout the day while offering a refined hospitality experience above.
The Design Concept
The site, defined by its triangular geometry and challenging angles, became the primary generator of form. The building mass is derived from the offset shadow of the site boundary, translating constraints into a unique architectural identity.
This approach results in a sculpted form that is both responsive and expressive, turning irregularity into spatial richness.
The project is vertically zoned to create a seamless transition from public to private functions. The lower podium levels accommodate active commercial uses, with the ground and first floors hosting retail and mall spaces that activate the street edge and draw visitors into the development. The second floor is dedicated to entertainment zones designed for high engagement, while the third floor houses a vibrant food court offering a variety of dining experiences.
To address the challenges of tight angles and potentially congested spaces created by the triangular site, the design introduces green pockets and visual breaks throughout the building. Strategically placed landscape inserts and framed vistas help expand the perceived spatial width, improve natural light and ventilation, and create moments of pause within dense commercial zones. These interventions transform transitional areas into experiential spaces, allowing circulation paths to become engaging environments that enhance comfort and spatial perception.
Architectural Features
Adjacent to the sacred campus, the convention center serves as a bridge between spiritual practice and community life. Designed for cultural gatherings, educational programs, and public events, the building maintains architectural continuity with the temple through material palette, proportional systems, and landscape integration while providing flexible, modern event infrastructure.
